In addition to restarting an LG washing machine and some of the more common errors, there are two other problems that you may experience. This can happen with any washing machine, not just the LG, but we are here to offer some solutions to solve the problem.
Why won't my LG washing machine turn on?
If your device won't turn on, here are the most common causes and solutions:
- Without energy:Check that the device is connected to the power outlet and that there is enough current. Make sure the power outlet is also turned on.
- Circuit breaker off:The machine may be off at the circuit breaker. If so, turn it back on. If not, manually turn it off, wait five seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Needs to be restarted:Sometimes minor bugs cause the device to turn off and a hard reset is required. Follow our instructions above on how to reset your LG washing machine.
Why won't my washing machine finish the cycle?
If your loop starts smoothly but doesn't finish, there are a few issues you should check for.
- Heating:If the heating element fails, the machine may not complete the cycle as it must maintain the selected temperature. Turn off the device and disconnect it from the power source. Access the heater and check for damage. If you don't see any damage, consult an electrician or use a multimeter to check the resistance. A running heater will read between 20 and 30 ohms. If the number is higher or lower, the heating element is faulty and you should request a replacement.
- Drain pump blockage:This is one of the most common reasons for not completing a cycle. The drain pump could be clogged, causing the machine to stop working properly. Turn off the device and disconnect it from the power source. Open the filter hose to check for blockages. Remove the obvious ones or use a plumber's hose to go deeper into the pipe.
- Bad connection:There may be an electrical fault in the device. If your device turns on and off randomly, please contact LG. You need to send a repair person to fix it.
- excessive heating:Sometimes it's a simple problem like overheating. Finish the cycle, wait for the machine to cool down and try again later.
